Estate Crew Volunteers are key to creating the beautiful gardens, fairways and pathways that visitors find at PPVW. Caring for the landscape might consist of pruning, weeding, mowing, string trimming, moss scraping and more. Commitment is usually a couple hours a month at your convenience.
Ranger of The Realm is a title bestowed on an employee after displaying consistent commitment, hard work and great attitude.
Ranger responsibilities consist of (but are not limited to) snack bar duty, club and ball duty, gift shop duty, flower picking and arranging and assorted other meaningful assignments.
Grove Ambassodors are volunteers who "adopt" one of the nine holes at PPVW and help maintain and care for only the hole they agree to love. The scope of care is wide, as each hole requires many forms of maintenance, from weeding and watering the gardens, to carpet repair, to bricklaying, and much more. Contact us to learn more.
Our cut flower program continues with the addition of the Wildflower Wanderer badge, which is awarded to those who identify, harvest, cut, water and arrange wildflower bouquets for all tables and counter surfaces.
The Campfire Creator badge is awarded to those who undertake all aspects of safely preparing, building, lighting, maintaining and extinguishing a campfire. These aspects include harvesting materials and fire starting in less than ideal conditions.
The Sky Shepherd badge is given to those who care for the bird habitat at PPVW by helping to stock feeders as well as helping to build houses and feeders. Shepherds learn to identify species commonly seen in the area and record daily sightings on the chalkboard for visitors to read and learn.
